ACB Arrests Doctor in Sirohi for Alleged Bribery of ₹50,000
Corruption Investigation Leads to Arrest
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended Dr. Long Mohammad, the Block Chief Medical Officer in Sirohi, on Thursday for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹50,000. This information was confirmed by officials.
According to Govind Gupta, the Director General of the Bureau, the complainant reported that he operates a clinic in Mandar. He claimed that the Block Chief Medical Officer from Revdar was demanding ₹50,000 as a bribe to avoid inspecting his clinic and to refrain from filing a case against him.
Following the verification of the complaint, the ACB team caught the accused BCMO red-handed while he was receiving the bribe from the complainant. The amount included ₹20,000 in genuine currency and ₹30,000 in dummy notes.
Gupta mentioned that the interrogation of the accused is ongoing.
