The first game was fiercely contested, with both players battling for every point. Ultimately, Abhay emerged victorious, taking the first game 11-9.
The second game mirrored the intensity of the first, featuring long rallies that captivated the audience. Abhay managed to fend off Chotrani's challenge, winning 11-8 to extend his lead.

Abhay Reflects on His Victory and Future Aspirations
After his triumph at the JSW Indian Open 2026, Abhay Singh expressed his joy, stating, "I'm thrilled to have won this tournament. Indian squash is thriving, with four men in the top 50 and Anahat leading in the Women's World Championships. My personal goal is the LA Olympics, but this year is crucial for all of us as we aim to defend our gold medal. While we compete against each other, it's also about supporting one another to achieve success in Japan."
Women's Final: Anahat Singh Dominates Hana Moataz
Earlier in the day, top-seeded Anahat Singh delivered an outstanding performance against Hana Moataz from Egypt, securing the women's title. Despite Hana's experience as the second seed, Anahat proved to be in a class of her own.
Anahat's game was characterized by a lethal mix of deceptive shots and rapid cross-court movement, leaving Hana struggling to keep pace. The first game saw numerous lead changes until Anahat surged ahead, winning 11-5.
Continuing her momentum, Anahat quickly established a 5-1 lead in the second game. Although Hana fought valiantly, she couldn't match Anahat's form, resulting in an 11-6 win for the Indian.
Hana, however, mounted a spirited comeback in the third game, narrowly winning 11-9. She attempted to slow the pace to counter Anahat's speed, which proved effective.
Despite the setback, Anahat regained her composure in the fourth game, overcoming an early deficit to win 11-6 and secure the championship.
Anahat Shares Insights on Her Performance
Reflecting on her second consecutive victory at the JSW Indian Open, Anahat Singh remarked, "I felt I played well in the first two games but lost focus in the third. My coach advised me to start strong in the fourth, which I did. I remind myself to stay focused, especially when I lose points. Hana played exceptionally well, especially considering her recent health issues. It was a great match, and I hope the audience enjoyed it as much as we did."
