This initiative aims to fill the existing void in competitive opportunities for local kabaddi players and clubs, as stated in a recent announcement.
Details of the Championship Schedule and Venue
Scheduled from March 24 to March 29, 2026, the tournament will take place at the Bharitya Krida Mandir Sports Complex located in Wadala. A total of 25 matches are planned, commencing daily at 6:00 PM. The initial three days will host six matches each, followed by four matches on the fourth day and three on the fifth, culminating in the grand finale on March 29 at 9:30 PM.
Teams Participating and Prize Distribution
The championship will see participation from notable local clubs such as Amar Krida Mandal, Navodit Krida Mandal, Shivneri Krida Mandal, and several others, showcasing the rich diversity of Mumbai's kabaddi community. The total prize pool for the tournament is set at Rs 2.3 lakh, with the winning team receiving Rs 1 lakh, the runner-up Rs 60,000, and both the third and fourth place teams earning Rs 15,000 each.

Vikas Gautam, director of Elev8 India Sportz Pvt. Ltd, the organisers of AMKC, emphasized their dedication to fostering sustainable sports ecosystems in India.
