New Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), announced that the party will initiate a nationwide signature campaign aimed at demanding severe punishment for those involved in the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He urged citizens to unite and raise their voices regarding this issue.

The former Chief Minister of Delhi accused the central government of shielding those responsible for the alleged theft. Kejriwal emphasized that ensuring strict punishment for those involved in the donation theft at the Ram Temple is a duty for every Sanatani. As part of this campaign, every citizen will sign a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appealing for action.

Kejriwal revealed that AAP will host a 'Sundar Kand' reading event at Japanese Park in Rohini, Delhi, on Sunday, marking the launch of this signature campaign. He claimed that the Modi government is attempting to protect those responsible for the donation theft at the temple, and it is crucial for the public to unite and participate in large numbers in this initiative.

This controversy has intensified as the opposition demands a judicial inquiry into the alleged financial irregularities in the management of donations at the Ram Temple. The issue first arose on June 7 when Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, accused individuals of embezzling donations. However, Champat Rai, the then-general secretary of the temple trust, dismissed these allegations, stating that no significant issues were found during the internal audit.

Based on the preliminary report from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Uttar Pradesh government, eight individuals have been arrested so far. Following this, Champat Rai resigned from his position as the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
