AAP Claims Central Government's Conspiracy to Discredit Ahead of 2027 Elections

Allegations of a Conspiracy Against AAP

New Delhi: On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the central government of orchestrating a scheme to tarnish its reputation, following the registration of 58 unidentified shell companies at its national headquarters in New Delhi.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, the president of AAP's Delhi unit, revealed that these companies were registered at the party's office located at 1, Canning Lane, New Delhi, between July and September of this year. The party has lodged a formal complaint with the Principal Commissioner of GST and the Delhi Police regarding this issue.

Bharadwaj claimed that this was a strategic move by the BJP to create a narrative before the February 2027 elections, suggesting that AAP operates numerous shell companies for receiving donations.

He emphasized that all GST registrations were completed following Aadhaar verifications and urged the central government to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

Bharadwaj questioned how these 58 businesses could be registered at AAP's national office, expressing concern over the lengths to which the central government might go to undermine a political party ahead of elections.
