AAP Accuses Congress and BJP of Distracting from NEET Paper Leak Protests

In light of ongoing student protests regarding the NEET paper leak, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused both Congress and the BJP of making unfounded allegations against the Punjab government. During a press conference, AAP's media in-charge for Punjab, Baltej Pannu, stated that the opposition parties are attempting to divert attention from the real issues by targeting the government led by Bhagwant Mann. Pannu emphasized that there have been no instances of paper leaks during Mann's administration. Referring to an incident in Faridkot, he clarified that it was not a paper leak case; rather, a candidate was caught allegedly using electronic devices to cheat. Following this, the police took legal action against the individual.

Pannu accused Congress of deliberately misleading the public by framing the incident as a paper leak and urged the party to address the paper leak cases that reportedly occurred during its own tenure. He also criticized the BJP-led central government, claiming that over 90 examination papers have been leaked under their rule, adversely affecting the futures of countless students. He pointed out that many students, distressed by such incidents, have taken their own lives, blaming the central government for failing to take timely action against those responsible. Pannu asserted that students across the nation are demanding justice, yet the BJP is attempting to shift the blame onto the opposition instead of addressing their concerns.

Furthermore, Pannu accused Congress of colluding with the BJP in making false claims against the Punjab government. Reiterating AAP's stance, he affirmed that the party stands firmly with the students and will continue to raise their issues on every platform. This response comes as AAP seeks to refocus attention on the concerns of protesting students regarding the NEET paper leak, while dismissing allegations related to Punjab.
