Details from Jhunjhunu

This heartwarming story emerged from Buhana in the Shekhawati region of Jhunjhunu district. After the wedding, the bride was welcomed into the village of Khandwa, where her in-laws presented her with a luxurious car as a gift, while the wedding rituals were completed with just a symbolic one rupee and a coconut.

A Family Setting an Example

The family of Ramkishan, a Sub-Inspector in the CRPF, has become a role model in society. His only son, Ramveer, recently married Insha from the village of Gohana in Alwar. Insha is currently pursuing her second year of a Bachelor’s degree, while Ramveer is studying for his Master’s.

During the wedding, Insha's parents offered a lavish send-off and even proposed to give dowry. However, Ramkishan firmly declined, expressing that their daughter was the only treasure they needed.

A Special Gift for the Bride

Upon arriving at her new home, Insha was greeted with a traditional welcome. During the 'muh dikhai' ceremony, her father-in-law Ramkishan and mother-in-law Krishna Devi presented her with the keys to the car worth 11 lakh rupees. Insha was overjoyed, and her in-laws emphasized that they had brought home a daughter, not just a daughter-in-law, promising to treat her with love and care.

A Message to Society

Insha expressed her gratitude for being welcomed into such a loving family. Surajgarh MLA Subhash Poonia attended the wedding to congratulate the couple, highlighting that Ramkishan's actions send a powerful message to society. He stated that such gestures could help eradicate dowry-related customs, and when daughters-in-law are treated as daughters, positive changes will follow.
