The 14th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Nurpur marked India's 80th Independence Day with a vibrant display of discipline and national pride.
The event began with the Officer Commanding, Shri Rajnish Sharma, raising the National Flag within the battalion grounds. As the Tricolour was unfurled, the National Anthem resonated, with all officers and personnel expressing their loyalty and commitment to the nation.
A parade, led by Assistant Commandant (GD) Shri Mahadik Sanket Ramesh, was a standout feature of the celebration. The battalion's officers demonstrated exceptional discipline and a strong sense of patriotism, earning admiration from all attendees.
In his motivational speech, Officer Commanding Shri Rajnish Sharma conveyed warm wishes to the officers, personnel, and their families. He reminded everyone that Independence Day transcends flag hoisting; it is a moment to honor the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who gave their lives for the nation. He stressed that independence comes with both a right and a responsibility, encouraging everyone to contribute to the nation's advancement through dedicated efforts and selfless service.
