A Meaningful Diwali Celebration

Dharamshala – In celebration of Diwali, Yuvah Himachal launched a touching social initiative as part of its “Vastram 2.0” campaign, aimed at supporting underprivileged families in Dharamshala. The team distributed warm clothing, eco-friendly diyas, gift hampers, colors, and sustainable candles, merging festive joy with environmental awareness.

The event took place in a slum area near Pasu Gas Agency in Dharamshala (Kangra district) and was spearheaded by Lalit Kumar Dogra, co-founder of Yuvah Himachal and recipient of the NSS President Award. In his address to the youth, Dogra stated, “We must not wait for others to initiate change. Real transformation starts when we take action ourselves. Diwali truly shines when our efforts illuminate someone else's life.”

Key figures in the initiative included Moti Lal (State Joint Secretary, Yuvah Himachal), Samiksha Sharma (District President, Yuvah Kangra), Kamlesh Kumari (District Vice President), and Keshav (Office Secretary), who were instrumental in organizing and executing the campaign.

Special guest Mr. Sajan, a teacher at Sri Sathya Sai Educare Vidya Pratishthan, Slategodam, commended the initiative, saying, “Such endeavors foster humanity, compassion, and awareness among the youth in society.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic involvement from state and district team members, including Rahul, Pradyumn, Neha, Kartik, Gaurav, Anshika, Ritika, Nidhi, Tushar, Nikita, Mehak, and many others. Together, they spread love, belonging, and a spirit of service within the community.
