The One Battle After Another star secured four prestigious awards, notably receiving the Icon of the Year accolade, presented by the legendary Janet Jackson. Additionally, she was honored with the Fashion Vanguard Award, Best Actress, and Video Director of the Year for her short film, Escape Room.

During her emotional acceptance speech for the Icon of the Year award, Taylor expressed her gratitude, stating, "There would be no me without you," while addressing Jackson. BET describes this award as a tribute to individuals who have significantly influenced music, entertainment, advocacy, and community.

"I have dedicated 20 years to this journey. I accept this recognition not with arrogance but with immense gratitude," she shared.

The BET Awards took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and were broadcast live across BET and several Paramount-owned networks.

Comedian Druski, the youngest host in the event's history, kicked off the ceremony with a comedic pastor act, leading the audience in a light-hearted group prayer that mixed humor with spiritual tributes.

The night was filled with performances from artists like Cardi B, Raye, T.I., Kehlani, Doechii, and Don Toliver.

Sylvia Rhone, a pioneering figure in the music industry, received the BET Ultimate Icon Award, which honors those who have made a significant impact in entertainment and the Black community.

"This award carries my name, but it truly belongs to everyone who contributes to culture. I've been privileged to work alongside remarkable artists," said Rhone, 74, during her acceptance speech.

"Black creativity is an incredibly powerful force that has shaped culture," she added, emphasizing the importance of preserving the essence and artistry of music for future generations. Rhone is recognized as the first Black woman to hold various high-ranking positions at several major record labels.

Other notable winners included Cardi B, who was named Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Lauryn Hill, who received the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award.
