Emotional Tribute at the Screening

On Monday, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol attended a heartfelt screening of his late father, the iconic Dharmendra's film, Ikkis.

Sunny appeared visibly emotional but managed to smile for the cameras. His presence was particularly poignant as he stood next to a poster featuring his father's image.

Also present at the event were Bobby Deol, accompanied by his wife Tanya, their son Aryaman, and cousin Abhay Deol.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis showcases Dharmendra's final performance, following his passing on November 24 at the age of 89.

Raghavan shared insights about Dharmendra's involvement in the war biopic, which stars Agastya Nanda as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.

Reflecting on their last meeting during the final dubbing sessions in October, Raghavan noted, “He was not in great health, but he did manage to watch the first half. I had hoped he would see the entire film, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It’s a regret that he isn’t here to witness the appreciation for his work.” He also reminisced about how Dharmendra would prepare for his roles.

“He was very traditional in his approach, often writing his dialogues in Urdu and preparing thoroughly for his scenes,” Raghavan added.
