Worshiping Mahadev During Sawan

**How to Worship Mahadev During Sawan**
To honor Mahadev, start with an *Abhishek* (ritual bathing) of the Shivling using sacred Ganges water, milk, and fresh water. After this, pour clean water over the Shivling once more.
Next, take 11 or 21 *Belpatras* (Bilva leaves) and present them to Mahadev. Following this, offer *Dhatura*, *Bhang*, flowers, wheat grains, honey, sandalwood paste, and sweets on the Shivling. Chant the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" and recite the 108 names of Mahadev. Light a lamp (*Diya*) filled with pure ghee and an incense stick (*Dhupbatti*). Recite the *Shiv Chalisa* and the *Rudrashtakam*. Finally, perform the *Aarti* (ritual lamp ceremony) for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
