The Pradosh Vrat is celebrated monthly during both the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing moon phase) and *Krishna Paksha* (waning moon phase).

According to the *Panchang* (Hindu calendar), the *Trayodashi Tithi* (13th day) of the *Shukla Paksha* in the month of *Jyeshtha* will commence at 10:21 PM on June 26 and will end at 12:42 AM on June 28. The Shani Pradosh fast will be observed on June 27, based on the *Udaya Tithi* (sunrise date).


Rituals for Shani Pradosh Vrat

Shani Pradosh Puja:
On the day of the fast, devotees should wake up early, take a bath, wear clean attire, and make a vow (*Sankalp*) to observe the fast. Throughout the day, they should remember and chant the names of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

In the evening, during the *Pradosh Kaal* (auspicious twilight), the worship of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha should commence with the appropriate rituals.

During the worship, perform *Abhishek* (ritual bathing) of the *Shivling* using water, *Ganga Jal* (holy water from the Ganges), milk, curd, honey, and sugarcane juice.

After this, offer *Belpatra* (wood apple leaves), *Dhatura*, white flowers, *Aak* (calotropis), *Bhasma* (sacred ash), and *Bhang* to the *Shivling*.

While worshipping, chant the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" and listen to the *Shiv Chalisa*, *Shiv Panchakshar*, and the *Pradosh Katha* (narrative).
