Saturday Lamp Remedies: Harnessing the Power of Shani
Saturday Rituals for Spiritual Cleansing
Saturday Lamp Remedies: The second day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Paush falls on Saturday, December 6th. On this day, the Sun will be positioned in Scorpio while the Moon will be in Gemini. Although there are no significant festivals on this date, observing a fast can be beneficial. Lighting a lamp on this day is believed to alleviate the negative influences of Saturn and invite positive energy into your life.
As per the Drik Panchang, the auspicious Abhijit Muhurta will occur from 11:51 AM to 12:33 PM, while Rahu Kaal will take place between 9:36 AM and 10:54 AM.
Performing the Lamp Ritual
It is said that Lord Shani resides in the Peepal tree. If you do not have access to a Shani temple, consider lighting a lamp beneath a Peepal tree. For those unable to fast or perform puja, lighting a lamp with mustard oil or donating mustard oil every Saturday is highly recommended. This practice is believed to dispel negativity and attract Lord Shani's blessings. However, avoid making eye contact with Lord Shani during the ritual, as it may provoke his anger.
Worshiping Lord Shani: A Step-by-Step Guide
Steps to Worship: To honor Lord Shani, rise early during Brahma Muhurta and take a bath. Clean your worship area and bathe the idol of Lord Shani with water. Offer him jaggery, black clothing, black sesame seeds, black urad dal, and mustard oil, and light a mustard oil lamp in front of him. Recite the Shani Chalisa and Katha during the puja. Additionally, offer puri and khichdi made with black urad dal to Lord Shani and perform the aarti.
Advantages of Observing Saturday Fasts
Benefits: Ancient texts suggest that fasting on Saturdays or worshiping Lord Shani according to traditional rituals can liberate individuals from the adverse effects of Shani's Sade Sati and Dhaiya. You can initiate the Saturday fast from the first Saturday of any Shukla Paksha. Observing seven consecutive Saturday fasts is believed to mitigate Saturn's wrath and pave the way for success in various aspects of life.
