The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 reached a thrilling climax as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured their first-ever title, triumphing over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a nail-biting final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday.
This landmark victory, after an 18-year wait, not only marked a significant milestone for RCB but also resonated emotionally throughout the cricket community, particularly in Bollywood, where numerous celebrities celebrated this remarkable achievement.
Bollywood stars flooded social media with congratulatory messages, including Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Allu Arjun, and Kartik Aaryan, who praised Virat Kohli's outstanding performance and RCB's success.

Ranveer Singh posted a picture of Kohli with AB de Villiers, calling it ‘everything’ and shared a video capturing Kohli's emotional moment on the field, labeling him a ‘One club player’.
Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram Stories to honor Kohli, stating, “To the man who’s given everything to the sport… this was long due! @virat.kohli #18,” accompanied by a red heart and trophy emoji.
Kartik Aaryan expressed his excitement by sharing a video of Kohli celebrating, writing, “Finally Jersey No 18. After 18 years. Congratulations, GOAT @virat.kohli.”
The heartwarming reactions continued as South Indian star Allu Arjun shared a video of his son, Ayaan, who was visibly emotional over RCB's victory. In the clip, Ayaan is seen lying on the floor, deeply moved as Virat embraces his wife, Anushka Sharma, on the field.
Arjun captioned the post, “Ayaan getting super emotional. #viratkohli fan boy moment. Soo cute my chinni babu #alluayaan #rcb #ipl2025.”
In another clip, Ayaan, a huge Kohli fan, exclaimed, “I love Kohli,” his face beaming with excitement. Arjun responded, “Your face is glowing.” Ayaan added, “I like him so much. I got into cricket because of Kohli.” On X, Allu wrote, “The wait is over. Ee sala cup namde! At last! We’ve been waiting for this day for 18 years. A big, big congratulations to RCB!”
Emotional Moments on the Field
As RCB lifted the trophy, Virat Kohli was visibly emotional. With tears in his eyes, he rushed to the boundary to embrace his wife Anushka Sharma, who had been cheering from the stands. The couple shared a tender moment, with Anushka comforting him and giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
In a post-match interview, Kohli reflected on the sacrifices made by his partner, saying, “What your life partner does for you to be able to play — the sacrifices, the commitment, and just backing you through thick and thin — is something you can’t explain in words.”
He continued, “Only when you play professionally do you understand the many things that go on behind the scenes and what they go through as well. What Anushka has gone through emotionally — watching me being down and out, coming to games, being so connected with Bangalore, and being connected to RCB — this is very, very special for her as well, and she’s going to be so, so proud. Thank you.”
A Patriotic Celebration
Musician Shankar Mahadevan, along with his sons Shivam and Siddharth, delivered a stirring performance at the IPL 2025 closing ceremony, evoking a sense of patriotism among the audience as they honored the Indian armed forces with their songs. Their tribute included renditions of ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo’, ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘Aye Watan’.
Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, were also present at the Narendra Modi Stadium, cheering for RCB during the final match against Punjab Kings. Sunak shared a selfie with his wife on X, captioning it, “Let’s go @RCBTweets.”
