"It was an incredible experience! It felt like my life had come full circle. Receiving such a prestigious award from the President, with the Prime Minister present, was a moment where time seemed to stand still. There’s no recognition that can compare to a National Padma award."

It must have taken a lot of hard work to reach this point!
"Absolutely. However, what truly matters is having a realistic understanding of one’s capabilities. To remain grounded, it’s essential to have a family that provides honest feedback rather than just flattery. I’ve seen many actors struggle without a strong support system."

Career Milestones

What do you consider the landmark of your career?
"Without a doubt, Banegi Apni Baat was pivotal. My fan base grew significantly after that series. Following that, Mani Ratnam’s Alai Payuthey was a turning point for me. I owe a lot to Mani for that opportunity. My Hindi film debut in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein may not have been a blockbuster initially, but it has since become a cult classic. More recently, Maidaan was transformative for me, showcasing a darker side of my acting range."

What can audiences expect from you in the future?
"I hope to bring more changes and surprises. I aim to avoid repetition in my career and continue reinventing myself as long as I remain active in acting."

"I feel incredibly fortunate. I have a wonderful wife and son who remind me of my blessings. My son Vedaant is thriving in his swimming career. I have no complaints; my life feels charmed, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything."
