How does it feel to have 'Toaster' as your first release of the year?

I’m thrilled that 'Toaster' is my initial release this year. It’s a unique dark comedy, a genre I relish as an actor. I don’t feel anxious about it. The fact that Patralekhaa produced it adds a special touch.

With numerous releases before 2026, have you intentionally decided to take a step back?

Indeed, I am intentionally slowing down my pace. My goal is to work on two films annually, but I remain open to exciting scripts from talented directors that might tempt me to deviate from this plan. Currently, I have 'Toaster,' followed by 'Raftaar,' our inaugural theatrical production, and then 'Nikam,' my next biopic after Srikanth. After that, there will be a significant break before 'Dada' is released. I aim to engage in projects that challenge me and require extensive preparation.

Taking on the role of Sourav Ganguly must be quite a responsibility?

Absolutely, portraying Sourav Ganguly is a significant responsibility. It required extensive preparation, including learning to bat left-handed. I dedicated countless hours to watching his matches and even spent time with him to understand his persona better. Playing Dada is a huge responsibility, given his impact on the Indian cricket team. I am incredibly excited about this role.
