Priyanka Chopra's Bold New Role

International star Priyanka Chopra has stirred excitement online by revealing the first look of her forthcoming Hollywood project, The Bluff. Portraying one of the most daring characters of her career, she introduced her role with the caption, “Mother. Protector. Pirate. Meet Bloody Mary. #TheBluff February 25, 2026,” alongside captivating images shared on social media.

The images depict Priyanka as Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, a fierce pirate queen. With a battle-worn appearance and an intense demeanor, she engages in fierce combat with co-star Karl Urban. Her blood-stained armor and piercing gaze hint at a raw and gritty pirate narrative.

In a previous interview, Priyanka expressed, “Our goal is to portray the authentic experience of being a pirate in the 1700s, moving away from the typical Pirates of the Caribbean depiction. Researching real pirates like the Irish figure Grace O'Malley was truly captivating. Although we filmed in Australia, the story is set in the Cayman Islands, which served as a crucial stop for pirates between their journeys. This location attracted a diverse mix of people from places like Scotland, Africa, and India, providing a rich backdrop for a powerful ensemble cast.”

The action-packed thriller, directed by Frank E. Flowers—known for his work on Haven and contributions to Bob Marley: One Love and Shooting Stars—features Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Temuera Morrison alongside Priyanka and Karl.

Fans quickly took to social media to commend her transformation, describing it as “terrifyingly powerful” and praising her commanding presence on screen. Many expressed admiration for Priyanka's ability to continually break creative barriers with each international project, eagerly anticipating a theatrical release for The Bluff.

Scheduled to debut on Prime Video on February 25, the film promises a darker, more authentic portrayal of pirate lore, led by a queen who embodies fearlessness and passion.
