Singer Money Aujla is currently experiencing a surge in popularity with a series of new releases. His latest track, Name Money, which was released in early March, has garnered significant acclaim. Following this, he is set to unveil another song titled Kanniyan on March 23, both of which were filmed in Dubai shortly before the region faced turmoil. Grateful to have departed just in time, Money maintains a positive outlook, focusing on hard work.

The artist, known for his hit London, shares insights about his recent projects and personal journey. "Name Money holds a special place in my heart. I penned the lyrics, and it embodies my life philosophy," he explains. Originally named Manpreet, he adopted the stage name 'Money,' which is reflected in his song Name Money.

As he prepared for the release of Kanniyan, March brought unexpected heavy rainfall, even during the song's filming in Dubai. "We view it as a sign of good fortune. I hadn't witnessed rain in Dubai before this shoot," he remarks. He describes Kanniyan as a reflection on the emotions surrounding what to cherish and what to release, resonating with universal themes.

Money Aujla's musical career began as a background vocalist, collaborating with esteemed Punjabi artists. "I had the privilege of working with legends like Harbhajan Mann, Malkit Singh, and Amrinder Gill," he reminisces. "From them, I learned not just about music, but also about discipline and the intricacies of the industry."

These formative experiences shaped his perspective on success, which he defines not by fame but by dedication and the quality of his work. "I don't dwell on the ups and downs. My focus is on hard work, creating meaningful content, and connecting with my audience. If they appreciate my efforts, that's true success," he asserts.

His involvement with music collectives has also contributed to his development. Reflecting on his time with Mafia Mundeer, he acknowledges the valuable insights and confidence gained from being part of such a talented group. "It was a unique experience that enriched my journey, and the friendships formed during that time remain strong," he adds.

In a world where public figures often attract controversy, Money chooses to steer clear of unnecessary distractions. He emphasizes the importance of clarity in intent. "You must be clear about the content you wish to create. If your goal is to reach a diverse audience, then controversy won't overshadow your work," he explains.

Money also cherishes his roots in Chandigarh, where he spent his early years. Although he now resides more in Canada, Chandigarh remains a source of comfort. "Whenever I seek tranquility, I visit Sukhna Lake or catch up with friends at Fragrance Garden. These simple moments keep me grounded," he shares.

Addressing recent incidents of violence in Chandigarh, Money underscores the need for harmony. "Artists should lead by example. Music should foster positivity, not glorify negativity. We must coexist peacefully and pursue constructive paths," he states.

For Money, travel serves as a means of gaining perspective rather than mere exploration. "Travel broadens your outlook. If you maintain a positive mindset, every destination has something valuable to offer," he notes. When not in the studio or on stage, he remains creatively active. "I prefer to write, compose, or engage in productive activities. Idleness is not for me; I like to contribute meaningfully even in my downtime," he adds.

Looking to the future, he has several projects lined up, including multiple albums. While many Punjabi singers transition into acting, he sees no issue with it. "If you excel in it, you should pursue it. Just look at Diljit (Dosanjh) bai — he’s a leading actor in both the Punjabi and Bollywood industries now," he remarks. For his part, he is taking a measured approach, having made a cameo in Madhaniyan and promising fans a forthcoming film, while keeping music as his primary focus.

As he reflects on his journey, Money expresses gratitude for the support he has received. "I appreciate the love from my listeners. I strive to ensure my work is respectful. If it ever unintentionally offends, I apologize and will continue to improve," he concludes.
