Manasi Parekh Safely Returns to Mumbai After Ordeal in Nepal-China Border Floods
Manasi Parekh's Emotional Reunion
Actress Manasi Parekh has safely made her way back to Mumbai after facing challenges due to flash floods and landslides near the Nepal-China border during her pilgrimage with Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation to Kailash Mansarovar.
In heartfelt videos circulating online, Manasi was seen tearfully reuniting with her husband and daughter at the Mumbai airport. The emotional moment was marked by tears of joy as the family embraced after their difficult separation.
Upon her return, Manasi expressed gratitude to everyone who reached out with messages of concern for her safety. Reflecting on the overwhelming experiences of the past few days, she shared on Instagram, "I am incredibly thankful for all the love, messages, calls, and prayers. The last few days have been intense, and escaping from China to reach the Nepal border felt like a significant victory."
Challenges Faced During the Journey
Manasi recounted the harrowing experience of being trapped in their bus due to a massive landslide in Nyalam, Tibet. "We were stuck for four hours because of a significant landslide in Nyalam, which halted our journey. After finally getting on the road, we traveled 40 miles to the Nepal border, where we encountered another landslide that forced us to walk to the buses waiting on the other side. The bus ride to Kathmandu was the bumpiest of our lives, taking four hours. But it was all worth it to return to Mumbai, to my family, and to kiss my daughter," she shared.
As of Sunday at 1 PM, Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Authority (NDRRMA) reported that 2,502 individuals remain unaccounted for as rescue efforts continue in various affected regions.
