Madhuri Dixit Takes on Hosting Duties After 24 Years

After a long hiatus of twenty-four years from hosting, Madhuri Dixit is making her television comeback, but this time she won’t be dancing or judging. The beloved actress, known as the Dhak Dhak girl, has been appointed as the host of Kon Honar Crorepati, the Marathi version of the popular KBC series, marking a historic first for an actress in this role.

Her previous hosting experience dates back to 2002 with Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai. Since then, she has been a familiar face on television, serving as a judge on shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Dance Deewane, but now she steps into the spotlight as the host for the first time in over two decades.

The show has been a staple since 2013, featuring well-known Marathi personalities as hosts. Madhuri's involvement is set to shift the show's dynamics significantly, and the producers are clearly aware of this change, launching the new season with the tagline Aata Khel Badalnar, which means 'the game is about to change.'

For Madhuri, who hails from Maharashtra, this hosting role is more than just a job. She expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "As a proud Maharashtrian, I am thrilled to meet contestants, listen to their remarkable stories, and see their dreams come to life on the iconic hot seat." Kon Honar Crorepati will be broadcast on Sony Marathi and available on Sony LIV, with the premiere date yet to be revealed.
