This comes shortly after her controversial "Generation Gutter" comment regarding young protesters sparked significant backlash online. In her Instagram Stories, the actress and BJP MP recounted a conversation at the gym with two young women who expressed that they were raised in the digital era, where social media, Instagram, dating applications, and AI are integral to their lives.

Ranaut replied that while individuals are free to live as they choose, it is essential to ensure that their actions do not harm others, stating, "as long as you don’t throw other children off the cliff, or cut them into many pieces."
