Aamir Khan's Son Takes Center Stage in 'Ek Din'

Junaid Khan, the son of renowned actor Aamir Khan, is making waves this week with his role in the romantic film Ek Din. This movie is an Indian adaptation of the 2016 Thai film One Day, directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun, featuring actors Chantavit Dhanasevi and Nittha Jirayungyurn.

Aamir Khan admits to feeling more anxious than his son regarding the film's release. He expressed, “You could say that. I don’t remember being this nervous for any of my projects. Ek Din is significant for Junaid. He appears quite calm, while I’m a bundle of nerves.” Despite his anxiety, Aamir is optimistic about the film's outcome, stating, “It has turned out really well, if I may say so. Arijit Singh has composed some beautiful songs for Junaid, and his co-star is the talented Sai Pallavi, who is highly sought after in the industry.”

What adds to Aamir's excitement is the involvement of his cousin, Mansoor Ali Khan, in the film. He noted, “Mansoor and I have collaborated on several projects in the past, including Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, and Akele Hum Akele Tum. His significant contribution to Junaid’s film brings a sense of continuity that I truly appreciate.”

Reflecting on his own career, Aamir mentioned that he has not yet decided on his next project. “I don’t want to embark on anything until I’m certain. There are a few projects I’m seriously considering. Now that Ek Din is out, I will focus on one of them. My thoughts have been entirely consumed by this film for the past few months.”

On a personal note, Aamir shared his happiness regarding his relationship with Gauri. “We are very serious about each other and are in a committed partnership. We are together. In my heart, I feel married to her. Whether we formalize it or not will be determined as we move forward.”
