A Unique Presence in the Entertainment Scene

Standing tall at 6 feet 5 inches, Punjabi singer and actor Jashan Singh naturally draws attention wherever he goes. His gentle demeanor often leads him to lean down when conversing, reflecting his humble nature.

Jashan, the son of celebrated singer Hardeep Singh, relocated to Australia at 16 to focus on his education. His father emphasized the importance of completing his studies before diving into the entertainment industry, a choice that Jashan believes has significantly influenced his life.

From Acting to Music: A Personal Journey

He made his acting debut in the Punjabi film 'Dushman: A Story of the Enemy Within,' produced by Mahesh Bhatt. Although the film garnered him attention, acting was not his primary focus. "Most of the roles I receive are quite dark, but I have a soft heart and prefer romantic themes," he shares.

While his acting career took a backseat, Jashan's musical journey has flourished. "I’m intentionally taking my time," he smiles. Over the past ten years, he has released numerous Punjabi and Hindi singles and has appeared on Coke Studio, winning acclaim for songs like 'Allah Veh' and 'Sada Viah Hoya Ji.'

Exciting New Projects Ahead

Currently, Jashan is preparing for his latest release, 'Naina Mile,' featuring Malti Chahar from Bigg Boss. He expresses his enthusiasm for this new chapter, stating, "Singing has always been my passion, and I’m thrilled that my music has received such a warm reception."

A Life Split Between Three Cities

After spending over two decades in Australia, Jashan considers it his second home. "It’s a wonderful place to live, with friendly people and ample opportunities. I’ve never encountered racism here," he notes. However, his roots remain strong in Mohali, where his parents reside, and Mumbai, the hub of his professional life.

Looking ahead, he aspires to secure playback roles in prominent Hindi films and is open to returning to acting if the right opportunity arises. "I would love to explore that if a suitable script comes my way," he adds.
