Understanding Piles

In today's world, piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are increasingly common among individuals. While this condition is not life-threatening, it can cause significant discomfort. Those suffering from piles often experience heightened anxiety, which can further deteriorate their health and hinder proper treatment. Fortunately, Ayurveda offers several home remedies that are both simple and cost-effective for addressing this issue.

Remedies for Piles

Radish Treatment: Radishes are highly beneficial for treating piles. If a patient experiences bleeding, they can squeeze some lemon juice onto raw radish, sprinkle it with black salt and black pepper, and consume this mixture for ten days to alleviate the condition. For quicker results, extracting a cup of radish juice and mixing it with at least two tablespoons of ghee, taken on an empty stomach daily, can effectively cure piles within ten days.

Bottle Gourd Application: To treat piles, take some bottle gourd leaves, crush them into a fine paste, and apply this ointment to the affected area daily for effective relief.

Sesame Seed Remedy: Sesame seeds are also useful in treating piles. Consuming 50 grams of black sesame seeds along with 250 grams of yogurt after meals, twice a day for two weeks, can lead to significant improvement.

Chickpea Treatment: Roasted chickpeas can be very effective. Eating at least 100 grams of roasted chickpeas three times a day can help resolve piles, including bleeding piles. This remedy is simple and can be easily prepared at home.

Psyllium Husk Solution: Psyllium husk, readily available in stores, can be mixed with a glass of warm milk (10 grams of husk) and consumed two to three times a day to eliminate piles effectively.

Papaya Benefits: Papaya is highly beneficial for individuals suffering from this condition. Consuming at least 250 grams of papaya, peeled and mixed with ground black pepper, black salt, and lemon juice, can help in curing piles. Additionally, papaya can aid in alleviating other health issues.

Dietary Recommendations

It is advisable for individuals with piles to consume more cold foods and minimize the intake of hot foods to aid in their recovery.
