Effective Home Remedies for Hemorrhoids Relief
Understanding Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids can be extremely painful and often arise from poor dietary habits and constipation. As the condition progresses, it can lead to complications such as fissures and fistulas. This ailment occurs due to the swelling of veins around the rectum. Prolonged sitting and irregular eating patterns are significant contributors to this issue. There are two main types of hemorrhoids: external and internal. External hemorrhoids appear as swollen, red lumps that may bleed, while internal hemorrhoids are darker and can cause itching, pain, and swelling.
Home Remedies for Hemorrhoids
Here are some effective home remedies that can provide relief from hemorrhoids and associated pain. The combination of marigold flowers and black pepper can be particularly beneficial.
Using Marigold Flowers and Black Pepper
- Grind fresh marigold leaves with black pepper and consume this mixture once daily for four days. Use 10 grams of leaves and 7 black peppercorns for this remedy.
- Mix 10 grams of marigold flowers (yellow ones) with 7 black peppercorns, grind them, and strain the mixture in half a glass of water. This can help alleviate bleeding hemorrhoids.
- For bleeding hemorrhoids, grind the flowers and sauté the paste in ghee. Add sugar and fennel seeds, and consume it either two hours before or after meals. Avoid eating or drinking anything for an hour after consumption.
Additional Tips for Hemorrhoids
- To combat hemorrhoids, it is crucial to address constipation first. Before bedtime, consume a glass of warm milk with a teaspoon of small haritaki powder or psyllium husk. After using the restroom in the morning, practice Kapalbhati for at least 15 minutes. If the problem is severe, extend it to half an hour. This should provide relief. Incorporate plenty of fiber into your diet, and opt for coarsely ground grains and bran.
- Slice a ripe banana in half and place a small amount of camphor between the pieces. Leave it outside overnight and consume it after using the restroom in the morning. Following this routine for a week can help eliminate even severe hemorrhoids.
- Applying neem oil to the hemorrhoids and consuming a few drops daily can be very beneficial.
- Taking a teaspoon of washed black sesame seeds with fresh butter can also help stop bleeding from hemorrhoids.
- Burn coconut husk with a matchstick, separate the unburned fibers, and store the ash in a bottle. Consume 3 grams of this ash with a glass of buttermilk or a bowl of yogurt on an empty stomach, avoiding food for about two hours afterward. Repeat this three times a day, ensuring the yogurt or buttermilk is fresh. This remedy can effectively treat even chronic hemorrhoids.
