New COVID-19 Case Detected in Cuttack


Cuttack: Health officials reported that a 44-year-old male tested positive for COVID-19 at a private clinic in Cuttack on Friday. According to Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr. Prashanta Kumar Hota, the individual, residing in the Thoriasahi locality, sought medical attention at a private hospital due to health issues. Following an assessment of his symptoms, medical professionals recommended a COVID-19 test, which yielded a positive result. The patient is currently under home quarantine.


Upon confirming the case, a team from the Health department was dispatched for further investigation. Dr. Hota confirmed that the patient had not traveled from any other state and noted that his condition remains stable. Reports indicate that after Bhubaneswar, Cuttack is witnessing a resurgence of COVID-19 cases. Dr. Hota emphasized the importance of monitoring the situation in the Millennium City and urged residents to stay vigilant and adhere to safety protocols to prevent further infections.
