Geetu Mohandas embarks on an exciting new journey with her film 'Toxic', marking a significant shift in her career. Known for her critically acclaimed films that have made waves in the festival circuit, this project represents her largest commercial endeavor yet, featuring the pan-Indian star Yash.

At the trailer launch event, Geetu, who has previously been underestimated, emerged as a true star among a crowd of celebrities. She began her speech by expressing heartfelt gratitude to her mother, affectionately referred to as 'Amma'. "I want to thank my Amma for supporting my daughter all these years, allowing me to pursue my dreams. As Nayanthara mentioned, leaving family behind is incredibly challenging. I haven't thanked my mum enough," she shared, visibly emotional.

Originally named Gayathri Das, Geetu's journey in Indian cinema has been remarkable. Following this, 'Moothon', featuring Nivin Pauly, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, earning Geetu the Global Filmmaking Award at Sundance for her storytelling.
