Pre-Trip Considerations
**Important Tips**
Given that Ladakh is at a high altitude, it’s essential to take certain precautions before your trip:
Low oxygen levels and high altitude can lead to 'Acute Mountain Sickness.' Therefore, the first day in Leh is reserved for rest.
Consult your doctor and carry necessary medications before embarking on your journey.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, electrolytes, and glucose. Avoid overeating, alcohol, and antidepressants.
In Nubra and Pangong, electricity is limited to a few hours, and hot water for morning baths is provided via solar heating or in buckets.
Note that there are no mobile networks, Wi-Fi, ATMs, banks, or petrol stations at Pangong; hence, carry enough cash and your medications.
