Producer Prerna Arora, actress Pooja Bedi, and veteran actress Khushboo have all emphasized the need for accountability and respect for women in both politics and entertainment. While many in the Telugu and Hindi film industries have chosen to remain silent regarding Stalin's inappropriate remarks about Trisha, a few courageous women from the entertainment sector have decided to take a stand.

Producer Prerna Arora, who works across both the Hindi and Telugu film industries, believes that men in influential positions should lead by example. She stated, “It’s not unusual for men in our industry to make crude remarks about women for a laugh. The conversations I’ve overheard among male stars on set can be shockingly disrespectful towards their female co-stars. This kind of derogatory talk about women is prevalent in many areas of life. Mr. Stalin is merely reflecting a behavior that is all too common. It absolutely needs to change.”

Actress, anchor, and activist Pooja Bedi added, “Holding a political office comes with significant responsibility, which demands accountability, sensitivity, and maturity. In a nation of two billion, we are increasingly aware of issues surrounding caste, religion, status, community, women's rights, and personal representation. The era when leaders could make light-hearted comments without facing backlash is over. The distinction between a ruler and a leader lies in the leader's ability to understand the sentiments of the populace and to apologize when necessary, especially when seeking their support.”

Veteran Tamil actress Khushboo emphasized the need for accountability among politicians. She expressed concern over the behavior of the Leader of Opposition, stating, “It’s alarming to witness such attitudes. It’s fortunate that individuals like him are voted out and not in power. Their lack of remorse for abusing women is troubling, and they often believe that apologizing would damage their male pride. This misogynistic mindset is deeply concerning. I commend CM Vijay for taking action, setting a standard that no one should escape accountability for their actions. It’s crucial that men in politics and beyond stop taking women for granted. No man has the right to strip a woman of her dignity and respect.”
