Pour water onto it, then add detergent powder, baking soda, and lemon juice. After squeezing the lemon, toss in the peels as well. Use a fork to poke the lemon peels and rub them all over the tawa. Continue scrubbing with the lemon for a while. Once you see the tawa starting to clean up and the water boiling, you’ll know the method is working.
After some time, turn off the heat and scrub the tawa with a dish scrubber. This will help remove the burnt areas effectively. If you have a non-stick tawa, opt for a soft sponge instead of a scrubber.
