Ingredients for Rice Fara
Rice Flour
Salt
Oil
Mustard Seeds
Dried Chillies
Coriander
Preparation Method
To start, take rice flour in a bowl, mix in a pinch of salt, and knead it into a soft dough using lukewarm water. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
Next, form small balls from the dough and roll them out lightly to create the fare. Boil water in a large pot and add the prepared fare. They will rise to the surface in approximately 10-12 minutes, indicating they are cooked.
Once they float, turn off the heat and allow them to cool. In a pan, heat a little oil, add mustard seeds and dried chilies for tempering, then add the fare.
When they turn golden, mix in finely chopped coriander leaves, and serve with chutney. The flavor is enhanced with green coriander chutney, garlic chutney, or sweet and sour pickle.
