Why Mango is the King of Fruits

Mango is often referred to as the king of fruits for a reason; its flavor captivates everyone. This is why people love indulging in ripe mangoes and creating various dishes from them. Chef Kunal Kapoor has shared a simple recipe for mango coconut laddus.

Ingredients You Will Need

You will require half a cup of ripe mango pulp, three-quarters of a cup of condensed milk, and two cups of desiccated coconut. Now, let’s learn how to make these delicious mango laddus.

Recipe for Mango Coconut Laddus

First, chop the mango and extract the pulp, then blend it in a grinder to create a smooth paste.

Transfer the prepared pulp into a large bowl, ensuring no water is added while grinding.

Mix the condensed milk into the mango pulp, and then add the desiccated coconut.

Stir all the ingredients well using a spatula until a thick mixture forms.

Next, place a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat and pour in the entire mixture.

Cook while stirring continuously until the moisture reduces and the mixture thickens enough to form laddus.

Once done, transfer it to a plate and let it cool completely.

Finally, shape the mixture into laddus one by one, and roll them in dry coconut flakes.

Nutritional Benefits

Coconut is well-known for its health benefits, packed with minerals and healthy fats. Additionally, mangoes are an excellent source of vitamin C and other nutrients, while the condensed milk used for sweetness is beneficial as it consists of 60% dried milk.
