Anamika Khanna Joins Global Jury for Circular Design Challenge 2026
Anamika Khanna's Role in Sustainable Fashion
Renowned Indian designer Anamika Khanna is elevating her dedication to sustainable fashion on an international level. As the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Anamika Khanna and AKOK, she has been selected to serve on the European jury for the R|Elan™ Circular Design Challenge (CDC) 2026, marking her as the sole Indian representative on this year's jury panel based in Paris.
The jury is set to convene in Paris on July 5, 2026, to assess emerging designers from Europe who are innovating in circular fashion, material sustainability, and responsible design practices. This initiative is part of the India–France Year of Innovation 2026 and is backed by R|Elan™, the United Nations in India, Lakmé Fashion Week, the French Embassy in India, and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.
Khanna will collaborate with a distinguished group of fashion experts to identify a European finalist, who will then participate in a global mentorship program before showcasing their work at the Grand Jury event in New Delhi and the finale during Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI in October 2026.
Anamika Khanna expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Craft has always been central to my work, and embracing circularity is a natural progression of that ethos. The Circular Design Challenge excites me because it unites fresh perspectives that are not just about fashion design but are reimagining the entire fashion system. Being part of a platform that is fostering a more conscious future for our industry is truly an honor.”
