What attracted you to this role?

I have always admired TVF and aspired to be part of their creative universe. Collaborating with Deepak sir was also a significant draw for me. Like many others, I am a huge fan of Panchayat, so accepting this role was an easy decision. I had long hoped to manifest a project with them, and this opportunity presented itself.

How did you prepare for a character in a resource-limited rural setting?

The characters in this series are well-developed, making it easier to embody Dr. Gargi. We engaged in extensive preparation to grasp her motivations, preferences, and personality. Although this season primarily focuses on building Gargi’s character, we still explored her backstory and character arc.

Was there a specific scene that tested you emotionally or artistically?

The entire series posed emotional and artistic challenges for all of us, but in a positive way. For me, it represented a significant shift from my usual roles.

What insights did you gain about rural healthcare while working on Gram Chikitsalay?

This series illuminated many aspects of the rural healthcare system that I was previously unaware of. My involvement in this project broadened my understanding significantly.

Having played contemporary urban roles, did portraying Dr. Gargi push you beyond your comfort zone?

I didn’t feel out of my comfort zone because I believe an actor's role is to explore diverse characters. It was genuinely thrilling for me to take on something so different.
