Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Receives Prestigious Award
Islamabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, has been honored with the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellence, the highest civilian award in Saudi Arabia.
Currently, Munir is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The award was granted under a Royal Decree from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, recognizing Munir's contributions and professionalism.
The Saudi leadership expressed their appreciation for Munir's strategic vision and his dedication to enhancing the strong ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In response, Munir thanked the Saudi leadership and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this prestigious recognition, emphasizing the deep-rooted relationship between the two nations.
He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to ensuring the security and prosperity of Saudi Arabia.
During his visit, Munir also met with Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Minister of Defence, where they discussed various topics of mutual interest, including regional security, military cooperation, and geopolitical challenges.
