Netanyahu's Address on Operation Lion's Roar

Jerusalem: In a recorded message released on Saturday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the ongoing military actions would empower Iranians to "take their fate into their own hands." He emphasized that the current operation is designed to be significantly more impactful than the previous 12-day conflict Israel engaged in against Iran back in June.

Speaking in Hebrew, Netanyahu addressed the citizens of Israel, stating, "Recently, Israel and the United States initiated a collaborative effort known as Operation Lion's Roar, aimed at neutralizing the threat posed by the Ayatollah regime in Iran."

He detailed that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are targeting key installations of the oppressive Iranian regime, including Revolutionary Guards and Basij facilities, as well as ballistic missile sites that pose risks to both Israel and U.S. forces. Netanyahu affirmed that this operation would persist as long as necessary, highlighting the 47-year history of the Iranian regime's hostility towards Israel and the U.S.

Netanyahu condemned the Iranian regime for its oppressive actions against its own citizens, stating, "Last month, we witnessed the regime's brutal crackdown on its own people, resulting in the deaths of thousands, including children and the elderly." He noted that tens of thousands were arrested and tortured simply for seeking freedom and dignity.

He reflected on the previous military operations, asserting that while the overthrow of the regime was not the primary goal, it could be a potential outcome, as evidenced by the recent protests in Iran. Netanyahu urged patience and resilience from the Israeli citizens, acknowledging that the path ahead may involve significant challenges.

The Prime Minister also addressed the Iranian people, stating, "You are not our enemies. Our common adversary is the tyrannical regime that has oppressed you." He encouraged those within the regime to lay down their arms for a chance at safety and a brighter future.

Netanyahu expressed gratitude towards U.S. President Donald Trump and the American military for their support, emphasizing the importance of their alliance in the fight for freedom. He concluded by invoking the upcoming Purim holiday, drawing parallels between past and present struggles against oppression.
