Beijing: According to Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to embark on a state visit to the United States this autumn.


Wang made this announcement during a press briefing following US President Donald Trump's recent three-day trip to China. He emphasized the importance of both nations collaborating to ensure thorough preparations for the upcoming meetings and exchanges between the two leaders, aiming to create a positive environment and achieve significant outcomes during Xi's visit.


This visit is being made at the invitation of President Trump.


During Trump's visit to China, which concluded on Friday, he engaged in multiple discussions with Xi covering various topics, including the ongoing conflict in Iran.


Wang noted that both countries have reached a consensus on a new framework for fostering a constructive and strategically stable relationship, which is expected to shape bilateral ties for the next three years and beyond.


He described this 'constructive strategic stability' as a form of positive stability centered around cooperation, stressing the need to enhance the resilience of China-US relations through ongoing exchanges and collaborative efforts.
