A New Era of Defense Collaboration
Washington/Islamabad: President Donald Trump has praised the recent defense agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, calling it a "significant and bold first step" towards enhanced self-defense capabilities.
The pact, which was formalized in Makkah on August 7, establishes a framework for collective defense, indicating that an attack on any of the three nations will be viewed as an attack on all.

Trump shared his thoughts on his Truth Social platform, stating, "I am thrilled to see Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan finally sign the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. This demonstrates the unity in the Middle East and the ability of these nations to defend themselves effectively."
He further congratulated the leaders of the three countries, labeling the agreement as a "BIG, BOLD, AND IMPORTANT FIRST STEP – WOW."
Sharif also took to X to express his appreciation for Trump's comments, reaffirming Pakistan's role alongside Saudi Arabia and Turkey in ensuring mutual defense.
