Images shared by GBC indicated that security protocols were intensified around the South Mole area, where a 200-meter exclusion zone was established until further notice. Additionally, Royal Marines were believed to have arrived via Royal Air Force transport planes as part of the precautionary measures implemented around the Rock.

Iranian state media previously reported that Tehran communicated its response through intermediaries from Pakistan. According to IRNA, the proposal initially aimed to cease active hostilities while simultaneously seeking sanctions relief, the lifting of restrictions on Iranian ports, and a reduction of the US military presence in the Gulf.
Tehran's conditions also included a demand for the US to cease its support related to Israel’s military operations in the region, particularly those involving Lebanon.
