Ongoing Military Campaign Against Iran

The United States has executed its eighth consecutive night of military operations targeting Iran, focusing on critical military assets and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This escalation was confirmed by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in a statement released on Saturday, noting that the latest strikes concluded at 11:30 p.m. ET on July 18.

CENTCOM reported that during this eighth night of operations, US forces successfully struck Iranian military coastal surveillance systems, air defense installations, maritime capabilities, and facilities for missile and drone storage, aiming to further diminish Iran's military strength.

Additionally, the US military specifically targeted IRGC units believed to have conducted attacks against American personnel in Jordan on July 17. CENTCOM emphasized that these military actions were a direct response to those provocations.

This latest round of strikes occurs amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, with the US maintaining a significant military presence in the area. CENTCOM highlighted that over 50,000 American service members are currently deployed across the region, remaining alert and prepared for any developments.

The ongoing strikes illustrate the US's commitment to undermining Iran's military capabilities, marking the eighth consecutive day of targeted attacks.
