Trump Threatens Military Action Over Iran Deal at G7 Summit

At the G7 Summit, President Trump made a bold statement regarding the Iran deal, indicating that the US might resume military actions if the agreement does not align with his expectations. He described the deal as a 'Memorandum of Understanding' and emphasized that it is not final. Trump's comments reflect his hardline approach to foreign policy, particularly concerning Iran, as he warned of potential bombings if the situation does not improve. This declaration comes ahead of the official signing of the agreement in Switzerland, raising concerns about the future of US-Iran relations.

Trump's Stance on the Iran Agreement

During a meeting with Egypt's President at the G7 Summit, US President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the current Iran deal, stating that the US might revert to military action if the agreement does not meet his expectations. He emphasized that the upcoming agreement, which aims to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and is scheduled for signing in Switzerland on June 19, is still subject to change.

Trump described the deal as a 'Memorandum of Understanding' and warned, 'If I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their heads.' He further added, 'If they don’t behave, we’ll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head,' highlighting his firm stance on the issue during the discussions held in Evian, France.
