Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Amid Rising Tensions
Escalating Threats from the US
On Saturday, President Donald Trump delivered a significant warning to Iran, stating that only 48 hours remain before the United States could take severe action against them. This statement was made in light of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and follows his previous ultimatum for Iran to either negotiate or allow free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime route in the Persian Gulf. Trump expressed his sentiments on Truth Social, emphasizing, "Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out - 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!"
This warning comes shortly after Iran shot down two American fighter jets, including an F-15E and an A-10, and targeted two Black Hawk helicopters involved in rescue operations for the downed pilots. During this escalation, three members of the US Air Force were injured, with two rescued and efforts ongoing to locate the third.
In March, Trump had announced a temporary halt to attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure, citing a diplomatic channel established at Iran's request, claiming Tehran was seeking a ceasefire. However, Iran has denied these claims, rejecting any possibility of negotiations due to a lack of trust. Iran has consistently labeled the United States as the aggressor and has vowed to defend its interests vigorously. Iranian officials have mocked Trump's various threats, including his comments about a 'Stone Age' mentality, with one commander suggesting that a nation with a 250-year history should not threaten a civilization that has existed for 6,000 years.
In a further response, Iran published a warning in the state-run Tehran Times, stating that any ground invasion by US forces would lead to dire consequences for American troops, with a message reading, "Welcome To Hell." Additionally, Iran has criticized US military strategies, sarcastically noting the shift from 'Regime Change' to 'Hey, Can Somebody Find Our Pilot?' after the recent incidents involving US aircraft.
