Trump Critiques Conservative Figures Over Iran Policy Disagreements
Trump's Strong Words for Conservative Commentators
Donald Trump has taken to his Truth Social platform to express his discontent with several well-known conservative commentators, including Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, amid ongoing debates regarding the situation in Iran. In a pointed message, Trump accused these figures of opposing his views on Iran and criticized their perspectives on the nation’s nuclear ambitions. He stated, "I understand why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have been at odds with me for years… because they believe it is acceptable for Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism, to possess nuclear weapons,"
He further remarked, "They share a common trait: Low IQs. They are foolish individuals, aware of it, as are their families and everyone else!" Trump specifically targeted Owens, labeling her as "crazy" due to her controversial claims regarding Brigitte Macron. Owens has been known to promote a discredited theory suggesting that Macron is a transgender woman, despite ongoing legal actions initiated by the Macron family in 2025, and she has failed to provide any substantiation for her assertions. Trump commented on this, stating that Owens "accuses the highly respected First Lady of France of being a man, which she is not, and will hopefully gain a significant amount from the ongoing lawsuit." He added, "In my opinion, the First Lady of France is far more beautiful than Candace, and it’s not even a comparison!"
Laura Loomer, a long-time supporter of Trump, reacted positively to his comments, sharing the post on X and stating, "Incredible. Finally, he put her in her place. This is amazing." Loomer has had previous disputes online with Owens and Carlson, especially regarding their critiques of Trump's policies. These remarks come amid increasing rifts among conservative commentators concerning U.S. policy towards Iran. Recently, Owens accused Trump of being willing to endanger American lives, including that of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, in favor of what she termed as "Greater Israel." Trump's latest comments highlight the growing tensions within segments of his political base as discussions surrounding the Iran conflict persist.
