Tribute to Iran's Supreme Leader: A Commemorative Gathering in Delhi
Commemorative Event for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
On the 40th day following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a joint attack by the United States and Israel, a memorial service was held in Delhi. Prominent Congress leaders, including Salman Khurshid and Gurdeep Singh Sappal, attended the event, which drew a large crowd. During the gathering, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi praised Khamenei as a great leader. Speaking at the event organized by the Iranian embassy, Naqvi expressed that everyone had gathered to pay tribute to the martyrdom of a significant spiritual figure, emphasizing the importance of faith, justice, and humanity.
Naqvi articulated that Khamenei's message was loud and clear: it is essential to stand firm on principles, especially when they are challenged. He stated that the message Khamenei conveyed to humanity would be remembered until the end of time. The world will not forget it.
Naqvi further asserted that the sovereignty and security of any nation are its essence, and when that essence is threatened, every country must act to protect its people and civilization. He shared images on social media, stating, 'I paid heartfelt tribute to the Supreme Leader of Iran and great spiritual figure Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the 40th day of his martyrdom at the Iran Culture House in New Delhi, where a large number of people from all walks of society gathered to pay their respects.'
Salman Khurshid also reflected on Khamenei's sacrifices, noting that he had shown people how to live life and face death, and what true sacrifice means and how to embrace it.
