Devastating Incident in White Bear Lake

The recent house fire in White Bear Lake has led to the tragic deaths of NHL journalist Jessi Pierce, aged 37, and her three young children: Hudson, eight, Cayden, six, and Avery, four, along with their pet dog. Emergency services discovered their bodies inside the residence on March 21, where they were pronounced dead. Neighbors reported witnessing flames consuming the home while the family was trapped inside. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.

In the wake of this tragedy, attention has shifted to Pierce's last social media update, which she shared just a day prior to the incident. On March 20, she posted photos from a family outing to a local ice cream shop, captioned: “Bag(s) secured.” The images depicted her children happily enjoying their treats. This post has garnered millions of views, with many reflecting on it as her final public message.

However, discussions online have raised questions about the absence of her husband, Mike Hinrichs, in the photos. One user expressed concern, asking, “Where was the husband?” Reports indicate that Hinrichs was at work during the fire, although this information has not been independently confirmed. Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation as they continue their investigation into the incident.

In a heartfelt tribute, Kirsten Krull, Pierce’s podcast co-host, shared on social media that Jessi, who was also known as Jessi Hinrichs, was like a sister to her. She praised Jessi's confidence, work ethic, and her deep love for her children and family.
