A tragic incident occurred in south London, where a family of three, consisting of an Indian-origin couple and their nine-year-old son, lost their lives after falling from their apartment balcony in a high-rise building. This unfortunate event took place on May 27 at a luxury 46-storey residential complex. Emergency services responded to reports of individuals falling from a significant height. Despite the immediate efforts of paramedics, Rakesh Pai, aged 47, his 46-year-old wife Aditi Paralkar, and their son Sid were declared dead at the scene. The family resided on the 36th floor of the building. Authorities have labeled the deaths as "unexpected" and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A representative from the Metropolitan Police stated, "Their deaths are currently being treated as unexpected. There were no other reported injuries. Work is underway to formally identify those who died. Their next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers."
