Advisories Issued Amid Regional Tensions

Tehran: On Saturday, the Indian Embassy in Iran issued a warning to its citizens, advising them to exercise 'utmost caution' and to stay indoors whenever possible due to escalating regional tensions.

The embassy's message on X emphasized the importance of avoiding unnecessary travel and remaining vigilant. It encouraged Indian nationals to keep abreast of news updates and await further instructions from the Embassy of India.

This advisory follows Israel's pre-emptive military action against Iran earlier that day.

In a related development, US President Donald Trump urged the Iranian populace to take control of their government, announcing that the US had initiated 'major combat operations in Iran' following Israel's strikes.

Trump characterized the military actions against Iran as 'a noble mission,' asserting that they were essential due to Iran's pursuit of nuclear capabilities and missile technology that could threaten the US.

Additionally, the Indian Embassy in Qatar has also issued a safety advisory for its citizens.

The embassy advised Indian nationals in Qatar to exercise caution, stay informed, and heed any advisories from the Embassy and local authorities. They confirmed that their operations continue as normal, providing a 24/7 helpline at 00974-55647502 and an email address for inquiries at cons.doha@mea.gov.in.
