Speculations Surround Iran's Supreme Leader Amid US-Israel Strikes
Uncertainty Over Ayatollah Khamenei's Status
Concerns are escalating regarding the condition of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following reports from various Israeli outlets suggesting he may have been killed during coordinated airstrikes by Israel and the United States aimed at crippling Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. The fears of a potential attack by the US and Israel were confirmed early Saturday when both nations executed a series of airstrikes, targeting what they describe as a 'terrorist regime' in Iran.
In response to the swirling rumors about Khamenei's fate, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reassured the public that all Iranian officials, including Khamenei and President Pezeshkian, are safe. He stated, 'Almost all officials are safe and alive. We may have lost one or two commanders, but that is not a big problem. Ali Khamenei and President Pezeshkian are alive, as far as I know. All high-ranking officials are alive — everything is fine.'
Additionally, Iranian State Media has announced that Khamenei will soon address the nation, just hours after the unprecedented attack by Israel and the US.

The recent offensive by the US and Israel marks a significant escalation in hostilities, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian populace to 'seize control of your destiny' and rise against the Islamic regime that has governed since 1979. In retaliation, Iran has launched missiles and drones targeting both Israel and US military installations in the vicinity.
Initial reports indicate that some of the strikes on Iran impacted areas near Khamenei's offices, with smoke visible rising from the capital as Iranian media reported attacks occurring across the nation. It remains uncertain whether the 86-year-old leader was present in his offices during the assault.
