A substantial fire has erupted at a warehouse located in Newark, leading to an increased response from emergency services. Officials from Essex County have reported that a third alarm was activated at the facility on Lister Avenue, signaling a serious and ongoing fire that necessitates additional firefighting support.
The warehouse is said to be significantly engulfed in flames, with reports of multiple explosions occurring on-site. According to a message from Nationwide Emergency and Notification Alerts, command units noted "multiple explosions in the rear" of the structure and have called for a marine task force, which includes fireboats, to assist in the firefighting efforts.
